ABOUT ELLE
Learner. Idea Squirrel. Communicator. Artist. Activist. Author. Teacher. Believer. Wife. Mother.
Sister. Daughter. African.
MEET THE MOTHER
Eloise has three children all of whom she intends to keep. Sophia is funny and more insightful than is recommended in a thirteen-year-old. Judah, at eleven, is a raconteur, master builder and fellow lover of ideas. Juliette at nine, is a Bijou, a language loving, multifaceted Jewel.
Eloise has lived in different countries and remains passionate about Africa and her potential – she chooses to invest her energy and resources into Zimbabwe and its people.
MEET THE LEARNER
I love learning more than coffee.
MEET THE IDEA SQUIRREL
“Always looking for useful resources, Elle has a powerful ability to absorb new information, to archive it and to retrieve it an any point in time…”
The strength finder assessment
MEET THE ARTIST
It took me years into my adult life to say that I am an artist. When I finally did it felt like my skin fitted a little better and the people around me exhaled in relief.
TEACHERS OF TEACHERS
Teachers are seldom as trained as they would like to be to unlock their wonderfully wired students. As parent-teacher and teacher-parent I can bridge the gap.
MEET THE AUTHOR
"Bats have stories too"
I wrote a kids’ novel that asks what it means to live here, what it means to be African, what it means to be yourself even when you don’t look or think or act like others. I wanted to tell a story of three siblings finding their courage, their voice, their friendship with one another and it saves the day. Even saving the grownups around them.
HOME SCHOOLER
One day we’ll look back at the home-schowhile reading Shakespeare. We will shake our heads wondering if mornings hiking were a dream. We might light a candle and copy some brilliant quote just to try and remember. We will know then that it was pure privilege.ol years and long for hours to drink tea
TRAVELER
So many places still to taste…
INTENTIONAL LIVER
I’m convinced that when we pour our best energy and time into the things we have influence over then we can profoundly effect the things that we care about but cannot control.
